Newburyport, MA (May 3, 2018) Through their partnership with the Children’s Miracle Network, RE/MAX On the River raised over $12,000 for the organization in 2017. Individual agents donated a portion of each home sale to The Children’s Miracle Network, a charity that raises funds for more than 170 children’s hospitals nationwide. Donations to CMN are used locally to provide charitable care, purchase life-saving equipment, and fund research and education programs that save and improve the lives of children at Boston Children’s Hospital each year.

“We believe that the key to our success is giving to others in our community,” says Sharon Cronin, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX On the River. “We are blessed to work with amazing organizations and professionals, and strive to give back as much as we can.” In 2017 alone, RE/MAX agents and offices across Massachusetts helped raise over $92,000 to help create miracles for the patients and families at Boston Children’s Hospital. The donations helped fund 286 clinical treatment trials, over 20k meal vouchers to aid local families with sick children, and over one thousand patient birthday parties. Additional services such as medical play, yoga, massage, and Reiki therapy were also made possible with agent donations. The Children’s Miracle Network highlights the top-contributing agents for each office. This past year’s Miracle Agents were Vincent Forzese, Sharon Cronin, Shevaun Bayley, Ellie DiPaolo, Thomas Mahoney, Jon Growitz, Lynn Pappas, Jay LeClerc, Lisa Hayford, Ronni Wexler, and Shamus Quirk.

In addition to agent donations, RE/MAX On the River has a rotating showcase of local art, a Miracle Wall, highlighting a selection of one artist’s work every month. All pieces are available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds donated to the Children’s Miracle Network. The newest Miracle Wall Artist, Theresa Skovron, is a New Hampshire-based artist specializing primarily in oil landscapes. An opening reception for the public will be held on May 4 at 5-7pm at RE/MAX On the River’s Newburyport office, 11 Market Square. Stop by during office hours (M-F 9-5, Sat./Sun 10-4) to see Theresa’s beautiful artwork in the lobby gallery for the next few months.
